Norwegian singer/songwriter and electronic music artist Cam Holtet has just released her brand new single ‘Stumble’ on Friday, 22nd February 2019.  A follow up from her 2018 debut ‘Know The Unknown’, Cam Holtet’s brand of pop is brave, feminine and glows brightly alongside the current army of electronic female artists ruling the charts. 

Moving to London in 2017 to pursue music full time, the Norwegian songstress takes inspiration from young female artists like Dua Lipa, Halsey, Bea Miller and Tove Lo. Now based between London and Kent, she devised ‘Stumble’ working alongside new UK producer Tom Morris. The track leads with piano driven Electronica which builds gently before detonating into a big Electro/Dance chorus with all the trimmings of contemporary Pop. 

A contemporary female voice taking on the subject of the millennial dating game, ‘Stumble’ is about the push and pull techniques in relationships that can result in countless anxieties and insecurities. Holtet sings “It’s 1am and I’m waiting for you to call, like you said you would, I wish you could. I keep on cutting loose but something’s holding on to me, running circles of uncertainty.” 

The lyrics bring to life a world where confusing connections are made in today’s world of fast ‘swipe’ culture. By creating tracks which document her experiences, Cam has been inspired to stand up for herself, turning negative thoughts on their head and debunking a world of fake promises and wild insecurities. 

Grounded, wholesome and humble, Cam Holtet’s openness with her mental health struggles place her as a positive inspiration for young women in music. Making the best out of every day, Cam Holtet’s future is bright.
