Hailing from the market town of Newton Abbot, Devon, singer-songwriter Matt Palfreman is releasing his debut single, ‘Coming Home’ under his own label Pavement Poet Records.
In the run-up to his debut single, Matt Palfreman is dropping a visually-stunning music video filmed in the beautiful seaside town of Torquay, Devon with incredible camera shots captured by drones hovering over the ocean.
Mixed by award-winning producer Dale Penner, known for his platinum-certified work with Nickelback and Holly McNarland, and mastered by Stuart Hawkes (Ed Sheeran, Pixie Lott, James Morrison), the new single ‘Coming Home’ is Matt Palfreman’s attempt to blend his pop/rock background with his love of soul and blues music, and in that old roots music, the idea of ‘home’ is often a refuge away from the troubles of the world.
Matt Palfreman has had to go through tough times through perseverance. At the age of 19, he was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), losing a couple of friends in a short period of time and growing up as an only child after his sister’s death. Shortly after, a brother that he never knew got in touch with him and turns out he works as a sound engineer and performs in a band. This made him realise how strong music runs in his family.
