About This Project

’The decade that taste forgot or one that taught us about ourselves.’

Noah Francis Johnson who recently featured in a four part BBC Wales documentary about the 1970’s musical revolution has continued his welsh media dominance. He has been featured along side the likes of Carol Vorderman in the Trinity Mirror who is owned, operated and distributed by the Western Mail.

Noah talks about growing up in Cardiffs Tiger Bay saying ’You had to fend for yourself a lot, but there was a great community spirit. It was the time when you could leave your doors unlocked’. Noah goes on to describe his upbringing and being the struggles he and his family witnessed but goes on to state that he was ’very happy in Tiger Bay’. He goes further and touches on his music and his new studio album ’Tiger Bay’. He mentions that it is his most honest album

’I explored those memories, I wanted to explore it and then put it away and move on, the record is so real – it hurts in a moment and makes me smile in others. That’s when I know I’m on to something really good.”
