International Reggae music duo Orisha Sound are set to perform an 11 date tour of the UK to promote new single ‘One Way Trip’. This is happening between the 31st May to 17th June, where they will be performing a mix of big Reggae, World and Urban original feel-good records. Longtime international performers, Orisha Sound have appeared on stage with megastars like Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Cliff, and Flo-Rida, Shel-K has produced for artists as big as Beenie Man and is the first producer to be chosen as the official face of Wray & Nephew rum.
Based between Kingston, Jamaica and Los Angeles, California Orisha Sound are made up of two incredible performers, Orisha and Shel-K. Their latest single ‘One Way Trip’ is the first release from their recent album ‘Fire and Ice’. Produced by two time Grammy-winning producer Timothy Bloom (Chris Brown, Nee-Yo) and mastered by Graeme Durham (Bob Marley, Grace Jones), the song celebrates returning to Jamaica: “Take me to paradise, even if it’s for a night, golden morning bright blue skies, take me to Montego Bay.”
The music video for ‘One Way Trip’ emphasises Jamaica’s iconic beauty. Premiering on Reggaeville, the video was directed by Ras Kassa who has previously made world-renowned music videos like ‘Welcome to Jamrock’ by Damian Marley and ‘Turn Your Lights Down Low’, by Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley. Orisha Sound proclaim “We are always touring promoting our music, so this song was inspired by flying back to the Caribbean and celebrating the joy of life.”
The multi-instrumentalist duo who are also known for their violinist flare returning from Russia last summer after promoting Reggae music to fans of the World Cup who had traveled there and were featured on BBC Breakfast TV. With previous hit singles including their duet “World War Three” ft. Beenie Man and “Embrace It” featuring Sizzla Kalonji, ‘One Way Trip’ is on track to please fans across the four corners of the globe.
