About This Project

Music News recently premiered the new video for Vellocet’s single ‘Better Days’. The single is now out for download across all major digital music platforms.

Vellocet, who formed just over a year ago are shaping up to be quite the live force, they’ve played headline gigs up and down the South Coast as well as supporting the likes of Fatherson and Boy Jumps Ship at prestigious venues which include the O2 Academy Islington and Concorde 2 in Brighton.

‘Better Days’ is an upbeat and anthemic slice of pop-rock, which kicks off in a brash and bouncy fashion with Jordan Bremble’s catchy, uplifting guitar riff and Dan Holt’s energetic drum work. Lead singer Neil McMillan has a soulful throaty growl which is a perfect fit with his gruffly sentimental and nostalgic lyrics which evoke the yearning romantic spirit of The Gaslight Anthem as they weave a tale of loves lost and couples grown apart with lines like ‘Streets aren’t what they used to be/they’ve got cracks in the memories/I guess it’s time to be moving on.’
